Protected uploads are files that should not be freely accessible to the public, but for the sake of convenience need to be in an easily accessible location. An example would be manuals that do not allow redistribution, or perhaps contact details for team members.

[edit] Storage
The protected files are stored on an external server (or separate directory) that blocks those users who do not have password access. You will need to log in with the correct username and password to access the protected file. If you have logged in recently, it is possible that you will not have to re-enter the login information.
[edit] Uploading
You can upload protected files here. You can browse for the file to upload, and then upload it to the server:
Note: You can also put files in the /cbtera/protected directory instead of using the upload form.
After you've uploaded the file(s), if successful you will see a table like the following:
You can copy the wiki code directly and paste it into the document you wish to use.
[edit] Syntax
The syntax for linking to a protected file is slightly different than the normal syntax for linking to an uploaded file. You need to give the name of the file inside of the protected tags, so that a link to the file will be made:
