Project Director
Dr. Lakhotia's responsiblities include acquiring funds, recruiting people, seeking sponsors, interfacing with the administration, interfacing with the media, writing weblogs for the fans, and keeping the project on schedule. He also oversees the overall software architecture and technical strategy.

Dr. Lakhotia is a Professor of Computer Science at the Center for Advanced Computer Studies. At CACS, he is Director of Software Research Laboratory, a lab focused on research in developing techniques for analyzing computer programs for solving problems in computer security and intellectual property disputes.

Being Project Leader of Team CajunBot is Dr. Lakhotia's second job. He got started into robotics on a whim, following the interest of his student Muralidar Chakravarthi. CajunBot is now his passion.

For his efforts in leading the team, Dr. Lakhotia has been recognized as 2004 University Technology Leader of the Year by the Louisiana Governor's Technology Awards Committee.

Dr. Lakhotia earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Case Western Reserve University in 1990 and M. Sc. (Tech) Computer Science from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani (India) in 1982.
